Timing is everything

When making your timeline, it's best to start with the most important part of your day, the ceremony! But how do you know what time that should be? There's a few factors to take into consideration, but the most important is the sunset.

Daylight savings starts in March and ends in November. The best way to tell for your date? Google it! Google will tell you the exact minute sunset is. The hour before is referred to as "Golden hour" by photographers, so we usually suggest starting your ceremony an hour and a half before sunset, assuming your ceremony will only be 30 minutes. Consult with your photographer and your planner/coordinator to lock in all the details, before making invitations.

Example:

5:30 Ceremony begins

6:00 Ceremony ends / Cocktail hour begins

6:00-7:00 Photos during golden hour, if sunset is at 7:00

Daylight saving time 2021 in Texas will begin at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 14 and ends at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 7.

Happy Planning!
